The Surface Phone is certainly a subject that is in discussion at Microsoft, as CEO Satya Nadella in December told fans a Surface Phone could be "the ultimate mobile device".

Microsoft's Surface Phone will follow the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy smartphones with a high-end aluminium and magnesium uni body, the same combination favored by Lenovo for the Idea pad 710 S.
It’s expected that the Surface Phone will be rather different to many other smartphones out today, and bear little resemblance to the company’s previous Windows Phone devices.
